Position: Junior Software Developer / Software Support Executive

Location: Dubai, UAE.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. 1 hour lunch.
Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: AED 6,000 – 8,000 per month (depending on skills & experience) + benefits

About the role:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer / Software Support Executive for our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career, who wants to combine development work with real-world customer problem-solving and be exposed to many different technologies.
A typical day involves bug fixing, feature development and dealing with customers' support requests.

Must be present in Dubai for an interview.
Should be available to join immediately or 1 month notice if already working in UAE.

What you’ll be doing:

Fix bugs and implement small-to-medium sized features in our web & backend application.

Contribute bug fixes / features to our open source repo (library level).

Investigate, reproduce and report software related issues reported by customers.

Occasionally pair with senior developers on larger features.

Assist in pre-sales e.g. demo of the software to prospects clients.

Travel to clients and prospects in Dubai.

Train new clients and their employees in the software functions both online and on-site.

Create & update technical documentation / knowledge base articles.

Write & maintain automation scripts (Bash) to help manage different technical operations in development/IT.

Tech stack you’ll work with (you don’t need to know everything):

Backend: C++ and Bash

Frontend: JS (our own framework)

Database: PostgreSQL

Server: Ubuntu, lxc/lxd

Tools we use daily:

 Development: (Git, vscode/nano, gdb debugger)
 Support: (phone, email, web browser)
 Light IT duties: (Nagios)

Must-have skills & mindset:

At least one programming language you are comfortable writing & debugging (preferably C++).

Any professional or freelance experience as a developer (even 6–12 months).

Basic understanding of HTTP, JS, CSS, REST APIs.

Good written & spoken English (we communicate with international customers).

Ideal characteristics: proactive, curious, methodical, diligent and communicative.

Nice-to-have (any of these is a big advantage):

Comfortable using C++ gdb debugger and browser Dev Tools.

Experience with any customer support.

Git knowledge beyond just commit & push.

Bachelors in Computer Sciences / Software Engineering (or strong self-taught portfolio).

UAE Experience not necessary but preferred.

UAE Driving License not necessary but preferred.
